GH2 HDMI Output

Here you go. See the clip notes for details about the clip. I’ll provide a link for a few DPX samples soon.

[vimeo http://www.vimeo.com/18520683 w=500&h=281]

Here are links for a few DPX files (I think I included a random series of 9):
Recording Internally (right-click, “save-as”)
Not Recording Internally (right-click, “save-as”)

While it may or may not help. I’ll update these folders with a sequential 30 for sans recording and a sequential 24 frames for recording.

Thank you for doing this interesting test drive! Here is what people discovered over at dvxuser:

The Problem in recording the HDMI out might be a conflict between 60p sensor read out and 59.94 AVCHD/HDMI transmission. There are issues with duplicate frames and altering pulldown cadence when recording 24p.

You can use 5DtoRGB to transcode those .mts with high quality chroma conversion …

    cheers

does the GH2 give uncompressed HD to the Cinedeck when recording? Everything I have read so far indicates that the HDMI from GH2 does not work when attached to a Nanoflash or KiPro. Until the potential Vitaly Kiselev hack, that is :) As a PAL GH2 owner and a fellow doc maker I’m very curious!…Cool site, by the way.

Untested so far on the Cinedeck. I’ll let you know more in a couple weeks.

Hi, do you have to deinterlace the material? Did you see the typical interlace artifakrkt on a progressive full HD computer monitor?
